Field Trip Friday

Friday 11 September 2026 · Brisbane · Exclusive to Philanthropy Australia Impact and Engage Members

Experience philanthropy in action across Queensland! Guided by community leaders and lived experience voices, step into diverse landscapes and cultural spaces to see how organisations are responding to local challenges and creating lasting impact.

Experience philanthropy in action

Taking place on Friday 11 September, Field Trip Friday has been developed in partnership with our dedicated Queensland Working Group and local organisations. Guided by local leaders and community voices, participants will experience philanthropy in action and gain first‑hand insight into collaborative, place‑based approaches to impact in Queensland’s communities, landscapes and cultural spaces.

This is a rare chance to see generosity at work, up close and led by those in the QLD communities who are turning ideas into action.

Thank you to the Queensland Working Group

The Queensland Working Group has been working together since September 2025 to bring these field trips to life. Comprised of approximately 25 community leaders from across the Brisbane region, the group brings a wide range of diverse knowledge, expertise and community connections, meeting every 6-8 weeks throughout the planning process.

While remaining independent in its decision‑making and focused exclusively on the field trips, the group worked closely and collaboratively with Philanthropy Australia.

We thank this hardworking group for their ongoing commitment to showcasing the important work of the for‑purpose sector in and around Brisbane.

Who can attend?

Registration for each of the Field Trips is open exclusively to Philanthropy Australia Impact, Engage (individual) and Engage (organisation) level members.
